Rockstar Insider Leak Reveals Unrealistic Review Demands as GTA 6 Delay Fears Grow

Fresh talk around Grand Theft Auto 6 suggests Rockstar Games may be trying hard to prevent another GTA 6 release date delay, but the cost could be falling on employees behind the scenes. A recent post on the Glassdoor job site, shared widely on social media, describes intense pressure inside the studio as deadlines tighten.

The review, dated May 1, appears to come from a QA analyst working out of Rockstar Games’ Bengaluru (India) office. QA roles are often the last line of defense before launch, involving long stretches of testing, repeating scenarios, documenting issues, and chasing down bugs that could break missions or destabilize the game. In the post, the employee references working on what they call the “most anticipated entertainment project in the world,” which many readers assume points to the next Grand Theft Auto.

It’s important to treat the claims carefully. Glassdoor posts can be difficult to verify, and online reviews can be exaggerated or even fabricated. Still, the details echo a familiar pattern seen across major game launches: when a huge release approaches, QA and production teams can be pushed into extreme schedules to hit milestones.

According to the review, the biggest complaint is a workload described as unrealistic, paired with long hours and alleged unpaid overtime. The employee claims the pace has escalated sharply, with senior leadership offering little help as expectations rise. One of the most striking lines describes staying at the office until 3AM and being asked to complete work that “usually take 5–6 months in 2–3 months.”

Crunch has been an uncomfortable topic for Rockstar for years, especially following past reports during the Red Dead Redemption 2 era. The company has previously indicated that overtime was meant to be optional, but the new review paints a different picture—one where workers feel compelled to keep going, even at the expense of their health. The reviewer says the schedule has been “hectic since last month” and suggests it has affected their mental well-being.

So what does this mean for GTA 6 and the possibility of another delay? If the post reflects real conditions, it could indicate Rockstar is trying to avoid a third postponement by accelerating final-stage work. That might reduce the odds of a GTA 6 release date delay, but it also implies the project is in a high-pressure phase with little room for mistakes.

With Take-Two Interactive’s next earnings call scheduled for May 21, fans are watching closely for signs of a broader marketing ramp-up—potentially including more official updates and another trailer. Until then, this type of behind-the-scenes talk will likely keep circulating, especially as anticipation for GTA 6 continues to reach a fever pitch.
