Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 debuts with an ultra-slim design and flagship-level cleaning features
Roborock has introduced the Qrevo Edge 2, a new robot vacuum and mop designed for homes where low furniture, tight spaces, and everyday messes can make cleaning more difficult. One of its biggest highlights is its extremely slim body. At just 7.98 cm tall, the Qrevo Edge 2 matches the height of Roborock’s premium Saros 20 models, making it easier for the robot to glide under sofas, beds, cabinets, and other low-clearance furniture.
A key part of this low-profile design is the RetractSense LiDAR Navigation system. Instead of relying on a fixed raised laser turret, the Qrevo Edge 2 can retract its LiDAR module into the body of the vacuum. This helps the device maintain a flatter shape while still delivering accurate navigation around the home.
The robot also uses structured light, an RGB camera, and AI-powered obstacle detection to identify objects in its path. This combination should help it avoid common household items such as shoes, cables, toys, and furniture legs while mapping rooms more intelligently. For users who want a robot vacuum that can move confidently through busy living spaces, these features make the Qrevo Edge 2 a strong option in the mid-range smart cleaning category.
Roborock has also equipped the Qrevo Edge 2 with practical edge-cleaning abilities. Both the side brush and one of the two rotating mop pads can extend outward when needed, allowing the robot to reach closer to walls, corners, and furniture edges. This is especially useful in areas where dust and debris often collect but standard round robot vacuums may struggle to clean thoroughly.
For mopping, the dual rotating mop system applies 8 N of downward pressure, helping it tackle dried stains and everyday floor marks more effectively. When the robot detects carpet, the mop pads can lift by up to 10 mm to reduce the risk of wetting rugs or carpeted areas. This makes the Qrevo Edge 2 suitable for homes with a mix of hard floors and carpets.
The included docking station adds another layer of convenience. In addition to charging the robot, the dock can clean the mop pads using hot water at 80°C, helping remove dirt and grime after each cleaning session. It then dries the mops with warm air, reducing moisture buildup and helping keep the system fresher between uses.
With its ultra-low profile, retractable LiDAR navigation, AI obstacle detection, extendable cleaning components, and self-cleaning dock, the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 brings several premium features into a more accessible robot vacuum and mop package. For households looking for a smart cleaning device that can reach under furniture, handle edges more effectively, and maintain its mops automatically, the Qrevo Edge 2 looks like a compelling new addition to Roborock’s lineup.
