Yu Jintai, a leading figure in this research initiative, explains, “The biggest advantage of this technology is early detection at a lower cost.” The team is now ardently working to develop a rapid test kit, aiming to make such potentially life-saving screenings as commonplace and affordable as checking one’s blood pressure or blood sugar. What’s more, once available on the market, the test is expected to cost as little as $5 to $10, making it accessible to a wide demographic, particularly benefiting middle-aged and older adults in need of regular health assessments.
