Revolut is giving select customers free ChatGPT Go access for up to one year
Artificial intelligence tools were once easy to use without paying, especially for casual users. Free plans and trial offers often provided enough prompts, features, and model access for everyday tasks like writing emails, summarizing documents, brainstorming ideas, or getting quick research help. But that landscape is changing quickly.
More AI companies are tightening free usage limits and placing their best features behind paid subscriptions. As a result, many users are now considering whether an AI subscription is worth the monthly cost. Revolut appears to be tapping into that growing demand with a new perk for customers on its paid banking plans.
The digital banking company is now offering eligible Premium, Metal, and Ultra account holders free access to ChatGPT Go for a limited period. Depending on the customer’s plan, the benefit can last up to twelve months.
ChatGPT Go is positioned between the free version of ChatGPT and the more expensive Plus subscription. It is designed for users who want more flexibility than the free tier provides, including higher usage limits and broader access to newer AI models such as GPT-5.5 Instant. For people who use AI regularly for productivity, study, content creation, coding support, or daily planning, this could be a valuable addition.
The subscription normally costs around $8 per month, so Revolut’s offer may represent a meaningful saving for customers who were already considering paying for ChatGPT. While ChatGPT Plus still includes more advanced features such as Deep Research, Codex, custom GPTs, expanded memory, and larger context capabilities, ChatGPT Go may be enough for users who mainly want faster, more frequent access to AI assistance without paying for the highest tier.
Revolut’s offer depends on the customer’s account level. Premium users receive six months of free ChatGPT Go access. Metal customers get twelve months included. Ultra customers receive one year of access for themselves, plus an additional guest user.
That means the total value of the perk can reach around $192 for Ultra customers who use both included subscriptions. For anyone already paying for a Revolut plan, or considering one, this new AI benefit could make the account more attractive.
The move also reflects a broader trend in digital banking. Financial apps are no longer competing only on fees, exchange rates, or card designs. Many are adding lifestyle benefits, travel perks, subscriptions, and partner offers to keep customers engaged. By adding free ChatGPT Go access, Revolut is positioning its paid plans as more than just banking products.
