The eagerly anticipated arrival of Oppo’s latest flagship tablet, the Oppo Pad 4 Pro, draws closer as intriguing details continue to spill out. However, the newest tidbit might be somewhat disappointing for speed enthusiasts: the rumored 100W fast charging for the tablet appears to have been overstated.
Recent revelations suggest that the device, identified by the model number OPD2409, has appeared in the 3C database. This indicates that it will actually support 80W SUPERVOOC fast wired charging, courtesy of the included VCB8AOCH charger. Despite falling short of the previously expected 100W, this still marks a notable improvement over the 67W charging capability of its predecessor, the Oppo Pad 3 Pro.
Sticking with 80W charging might be part of Oppo’s broader strategy for its premium devices this year. This includes the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, both of which also feature identical charging capabilities, contrasting with the Find X7 Ultra’s 100W charging prowess. On a brighter note, it’s anticipated that the upcoming Find X8 Ultra will embrace the coveted 100W charge, catering to those with a need for speed.
Not to be outdone by just charging enhancements, the Oppo Pad 4 Pro is also reported to be getting a substantial display boost. Advancing from the previous generation’s 12.1-inch screen, this new iteration is expected to sport a 13.4-inch display, emphasizing its role as a serious contender in the tablet market, though still trailing behind the impressive 14.6-inch AMOLED screen of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
The Oppo Pad 4 Pro might also see a release as the OnePlus Pad 3 in certain regions, following the example set by its predecessor, the Oppo Pad 3, and the OnePlus Pad 2. However, there’s no guarantee this rebranding will occur everywhere; recent corporate decisions, such as the Oppo Find N5 not turning into the OnePlus Open 2, suggest it’s best to wait and see.
As the launch date for this alluring tablet approaches, tech enthusiasts and Oppo fans alike can expect a combination of optimized charging speeds and enhanced display features, positioning the Oppo Pad 4 Pro as a fascinating addition to the tech world.
