RedMagic is gearing up to expand its latest gaming phone lineup with a more budget-friendly model, and the wait won’t be long. The company has now confirmed that the RedMagic 11 Air is launching soon, with a debut planned for January 2026 in China.
The timing is notable because it comes right after key specifications for the phone surfaced online. While the recently released RedMagic 11 Pro series targets the premium end of the market with higher flagship pricing, the upcoming 11 Air is positioned as a more affordable alternative for gamers who still want strong performance and signature gaming-focused features.
According to the leaked details, the RedMagic 11 Air is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a previous-generation flagship processor that can still deliver impressive gaming speed. In fact, this chip is said to perform close to the newer non-Elite Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 in many scenarios, which makes it a smart choice for a phone aiming to balance price and power.
RedMagic’s built-in active cooling fan is also expected to return on the 11 Air. For gaming phones, that matters because active cooling can help maintain smoother frame rates for longer sessions by improving sustained performance and reducing heat-related throttling.
Battery life looks like another major focus. While exact capacity hasn’t been officially confirmed, the leak points to a large battery. For reference, the RedMagic 10 Air featured a 6,000 mAh battery along with 80W fast charging, so there’s a strong chance the 11 Air will continue that big-battery, fast-charging approach that mobile gamers tend to prioritize.
On the display side, the RedMagic 11 Air is rumored to feature a full-screen design paired with an under-display selfie camera. That setup is designed to maximize screen space and minimize distractions—an appealing bonus for gaming, streaming, and everyday use.
For now, RedMagic hasn’t revealed full specifications or global availability details. What’s clear is that the RedMagic 11 Air is shaping up to be an affordable gaming phone option for 2026, combining a proven flagship-class Snapdragon chip, active cooling, a large battery, and a clean full-screen look ahead of its expected January launch in China.
