RedMagic Launches Affordable Wired Gaming Earphones With USB-C and 3.5mm Options
RedMagic has expanded its gaming accessory lineup with a new pair of wired gaming earphones in China. The latest model, translated as RedMagic Wired Earphones, is designed for mobile gamers who want low-latency audio, a simple plug-and-play setup, and a budget-friendly price.
The new RedMagic earphones are available in two versions in China: one with a USB-C connector and another with a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. This gives users more flexibility depending on their device, especially as many modern smartphones have dropped the headphone jack while gaming handhelds, laptops, and some phones still support it.
The earphones feature 14.2mm dynamic drivers inside a metallic gray housing with an angled design. According to RedMagic, the drivers are paired with a composite diaphragm that helps deliver a wider sense of space, clearer sound layers, and more detailed audio. For gamers, this could make in-game effects such as footsteps, gunfire, and environmental sounds easier to notice during gameplay.
RedMagic has chosen a semi-in-ear design for the earphones. This means they do not fully seal the ear canal like traditional in-ear earbuds. As a result, users may still hear some surrounding noise, which can be useful when gaming or listening to music in public spaces where awareness of the environment matters.
The earphones also include an in-line remote with volume and playback controls, making it easier to adjust audio without reaching for the connected device. A built-in microphone is included as well, allowing users to take calls, chat with teammates, or use voice features during gaming sessions.
Another practical feature is the cable design. RedMagic says the wire is made to resist tangling, which should make the earphones easier to carry in a pocket, backpack, or gaming pouch without dealing with messy knots every time they are used.
Although the China release offers both USB-C and 3.5mm models, RedMagic’s international version appears to be available only with a USB-C connector under the name RedMagic Magic Sound Earphones. The global model is compatible with Android, Windows, and iOS devices, making it a versatile option for smartphones, tablets, PCs, and other supported devices.
Pricing is one of the most attractive parts of the launch. In China, the RedMagic Wired Earphones are priced at CNY 89, which is roughly $13 or €11. The international USB-C version is listed at $21.90, making it more expensive than the China model but still affordable compared with many gaming-focused earphones.
With large dynamic drivers, a gaming-oriented sound profile, an in-line microphone, and both USB-C and 3.5mm options in China, the RedMagic Wired Earphones could appeal to players who prefer wired audio for reliability and low latency. For users who want a simple, affordable gaming headset alternative without switching to bulky headphones, RedMagic’s latest earphones may be worth considering.
