RedMagic 11S Pro Reservations Begin, Showcasing a Bold New Design

RedMagic is getting ready to unveil its next flagship gaming phone, and ahead of the official launch the company has already opened reservations in China for the RedMagic 11S Pro. The new model is set to be revealed on May 18, and early details suggest it’s designed as a performance-focused refresh to the RedMagic 11 Pro that arrived roughly six months ago.

The RedMagic 11S Pro keeps the familiar gaming-first look and feel that fans expect. That means the same overall layout for the built-in cooling fan and the physical buttons, staying true to the brand’s signature approach of prioritizing sustained performance during long gaming sessions. This time, though, RedMagic is tweaking the rear camera design. One of the main or ultra-wide cameras has been shifted to the right, giving the back of the phone a slightly reworked camera layout compared to its predecessor.

Where the RedMagic 11S Pro really aims to stand out is under the hood. RedMagic has confirmed the phone will be among the first devices to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version chipset. This “Leading Version” is positioned as a faster take on the standard chip, with the Oryon Gen 3 Prime cores clocked higher—up from 4.6 GHz to 4.74 GHz. In practical terms, that points to higher peak performance for demanding games and heavy multitasking, which is exactly the audience RedMagic targets.

For now, reservations are limited to China, and RedMagic hasn’t shared details about wider international availability. Still, with the May 18 launch date approaching and official images already out in the open, the RedMagic 11S Pro is shaping up to be a notable next step in the company’s flagship gaming phone lineup—bringing a familiar gamer-centric design, a refreshed camera arrangement, and a tuned-for-speed Snapdragon chipset aimed at pushing performance even further.

The phone will be offered in two finishes: Dark Night and Silver Wing.
