Price Hike for Nintendo Switch Consoles and Accessories

Nintendo has announced a price increase for the original Switch family, including the Nintendo Switch OLED, Switch, Switch Lite, and related accessories. This change is due to fluctuating market conditions, echoing a similar adjustment in Canada in June.

Curiously, while the Nintendo Switch 2 and its associated games haven’t seen a price change, certain Switch 2 accessories, select amiibo, and the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo will experience a price hike. These adjustments will take effect from August 3, with new prices reflected on the US store.

The original Switch lineup has been immensely successful, with over 153 million units sold since their respective launches. This move follows the trend seen in Canada, attributed to halted trade talks with the US at the time.

As customers anticipate these shifts, potential buyers should stay informed about the upcoming changes to make timely purchasing decisions.
