Price Drops of Approximately 4%

The NVIDIA RTX 5070 graphics card is becoming more affordable, with notable price reductions now appearing in the UK. Overclockers UK, a well-known retailer, has slashed prices on the Gainward RTX 5070 Python III, offering it at £519, a discount of £20 under its official Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). This marks a 4% price cut, a rarity in the current global market landscape.

The RTX 50 series GPUs have been infamous for their high prices since their debut, with the RTX 5070 generally priced around $700 in North America and similarly in Europe. The Gainward RTX 5070 Python III is equipped with a robust triple-fan cooling system, maintaining the reference edition’s 2512 MHz boost clock. However, it promises superior thermal performance, making it a sought-after choice for gamers and tech enthusiasts.

Converting the UK price of £519, accounting for a 20% Value Added Tax (VAT), equates to approximately $556, aligning closely with the RTX 5070’s MSRP in North America. Moreover, Overclockers UK has also lowered the price of the Palit RTX 5080 Gaming Pro from over £1,100 to £999, although still slightly above NVIDIA’s official pricing. This presents a more attractive option compared to other custom editions, which can reach up to £1,500.

While discounts from premium brands like ASUS or MSI remain scarce, these price reductions suggest that more affordable GPU options could soon become more widespread as supply continues to improve. This is further supported by NVIDIA’s strategic move to source its GDDR7 memory from suppliers like SK Hynix alongside Samsung, likely enhancing availability and potentially driving further price cuts.
