Mangmi is back with fresh updates about its upcoming Pocket Max gaming handheld, and this time the spotlight is on two things handheld fans care about most: battery life and final design touches.
Following an earlier reveal of key specs in December 2025, Mangmi has now confirmed that the Pocket Max will feature a huge 8,000mAh battery. That’s a standout number for a portable gaming device, especially paired with the handheld’s 7-inch 144Hz OLED display and a Snapdragon 865 processor. Mangmi says the large battery is designed to deliver more hours of gameplay, which should appeal to anyone who wants longer sessions without constantly hunting for a charger.
Interestingly, the 8,000mAh capacity matches what you’ll find in the AYN Odin 3, although the two devices take different approaches. The Odin 3 uses a smaller 6-inch 120Hz OLED display and a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, while the Pocket Max leans into a larger screen and high refresh rate for smooth visuals.
Beyond performance and battery, Mangmi also shared final button color decisions for two Pocket Max variants after running a community poll. Fans weighed in on which button styles looked best, and the company adjusted the design based on that feedback.
The white Pocket Max will stick to the original concept: white buttons with orange markings and text. The black model, however, is getting a tweak. Instead of the earlier look that used orange markings on black buttons, the final version will feature black buttons with white markings and text. Meanwhile, the Retro GB color option will remain unchanged from its original design.
For now, Mangmi still hasn’t shared a release date or official pricing for the Pocket Max. That said, if the company follows its earlier launch playbook, a pre-order period with an early bird discount is likely.
