Pixel 11 Pro Teardown Uncovers Eight RGB LEDs Powering Its HiLight Magic

Google Pixel 11 Pro Teardown Confirms Eight RGB LEDs Hidden Inside

A closer look inside the Google Pixel 11 Pro has revealed an interesting hardware detail: the device appears to include eight RGB-capable LEDs. While the lighting system may not be obvious from the outside, a detailed teardown has now confirmed that Google’s hardware is equipped with individual red, green, and blue light elements.

To verify whether the LEDs were truly RGB and not limited to a single color, the teardown specialist removed the diffuser covering the lighting components. Once the bare circuit board was exposed, it was examined under a high-powered microscope. The magnified view showed three separate diode elements inside each LED: one red, one green, and one blue.

That discovery confirms that all eight LEDs are genuine RGB units. In simple terms, the Pixel 11 Pro has the hardware needed to produce multiple colors rather than being restricted to a fixed white or single-color glow.

This is notable because RGB LEDs can support a wide range of lighting effects, depending on how the software controls them. If Google chooses to enable deeper customization, these LEDs could potentially be used for visual alerts, status indicators, charging effects, camera-related feedback, or other interactive features.

For now, the teardown mainly confirms what the hardware is capable of. The presence of eight RGB LEDs does not automatically mean every color feature will be available to users at launch, as software support and system-level controls will determine how much of this capability is actually used.

Still, the finding adds another layer of interest to the Pixel 11 Pro’s internal design. Google appears to have included more advanced lighting hardware than some users may have expected, leaving open the possibility for colorful effects and future feature updates.
