Phanteks Launches XT M5, XT V5, and XT V5-LCD Compact PC Cases With Big Hardware Support
Phanteks has expanded its PC case lineup with three new compact chassis options: the XT M5, XT V5, and XT V5-LCD. First shown during Computex 2026, the new series is designed for PC builders who want a smaller case without giving up support for powerful gaming components, large graphics cards, and high-performance cooling.
Although each case measures just 452 × 235 × 430 mm, the XT series is built to handle serious hardware. All three models support ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards, making them flexible enough for a wide range of gaming PC and workstation builds.
One of the biggest highlights is graphics card clearance. The XT M5, XT V5, and XT V5-LCD can fit GPUs up to 430 mm long, which gives users plenty of room for today’s large high-end graphics cards. Phanteks also includes a built-in GPU support bracket, helping reduce sag when using heavier cards.
Cooling support is another major focus of the new lineup. Each case can accommodate CPU air coolers up to 175 mm tall and power supplies up to 250 mm. For liquid cooling fans, the chassis supports a top-mounted radiator up to 360 mm, with room for a 410 × 130 × 38 mm radiator. This makes the cases suitable for many popular 360 mm AIO liquid coolers while still leaving space for large GPUs.
The Phanteks XT M5 is the airflow-focused model in the lineup. It features a full mesh front panel designed to pull in plenty of fresh air, making it a strong option for performance-focused gaming PCs. It ships with three pre-installed 120 mm S25 ARGB fans and supports up to ten 120 mm fans in total, giving builders plenty of flexibility for custom cooling setups.
The Phanteks XT V5 takes a different approach with a more showcase-style design. Instead of a mesh front panel, it uses tempered glass on the front and side, offering a cleaner look for users who want to display their components and RGB lighting. To help maintain cooling performance, it includes three pre-installed 120 mm S25 ARGB fans at the bottom, positioned to push airflow toward the graphics card.
For users who want something more eye-catching, the Phanteks XT V5-LCD builds on the tempered glass design and adds a built-in 7-inch display. The screen can be customized through Phanteks’ NexLinq software and can show real-time system stats, wallpapers, animations, or custom visuals. This gives builders a built-in way to personalize their setup without needing to install a separate internal display.
All three cases include the same front I/O layout. Users get a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port with speeds up to 20 Gbps, one USB 3.0 Type-A port, a 3.5 mm audio combo jack, plus dedicated power and reset buttons. This makes the cases practical for modern accessories, external storage, headsets, and everyday use.
Storage support includes room for two 2.5-inch SSDs and one 3.5-inch HDD. While compact, the layout still provides enough space for a typical modern gaming build with fast SSD storage and additional mass storage if needed.
Phanteks is also including useful cooling hardware out of the box. Each model comes with a rear 120 mm S25 ARGB fan and a unified 360 mm S25 ARGB fan frame. This helps reduce the need for extra fan purchases, especially for users building a new gaming PC on a budget.
Pricing starts at $79.99 in the United States for both the XT M5 and XT V5, while the XT V5-LCD is priced at $109.99. In Europe, prices begin at €69.90, and in the UK, prices start at £59.90. Availability will vary by region, with the XT V5 expected to arrive first in several markets.
