PCCooler FC300-CS brings a modular twist to the all-in-one PC
PCCooler has introduced the FC300-CS, a new all-in-one desktop PC designed to solve one of the biggest drawbacks of traditional AIO computers: limited upgradeability. Unlike most all-in-one PCs, where the display and internal hardware are locked together in a single sealed unit, the FC300-CS separates the screen from the compute module, making it possible to replace or upgrade either part independently.
That design could make the FC300-CS a more practical long-term choice for users who like the clean look of an all-in-one desktop but do not want to replace the entire system when one component becomes outdated. If the processor unit needs an upgrade in the future, users may be able to swap in a newer compute module. If the display becomes damaged or no longer meets their needs, the screen could potentially be replaced without discarding the rest of the computer.
At the heart of the FC300-CS is an Intel Core Ultra 5 125U processor, part of Intel’s Meteor Lake generation. This chip includes a built-in NPU, which is designed to help accelerate AI-related workloads and improve efficiency for supported tasks. For everyday productivity, multitasking, office work, browsing, media streaming, and light creative use, the processor should provide a modern and capable foundation.
PCCooler has also made the system more flexible by using two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM memory slots. That means the RAM is not permanently soldered, giving users the option to upgrade memory later. This is an important advantage over many compact desktops and all-in-one systems that ship with fixed memory configurations.
Storage options are also practical. The FC300-CS includes one M.2 2280 slot with support for PCIe and SATA drives, along with a 2.5-inch SATA III bay for an additional drive. This setup gives users room for both fast solid-state storage and extra capacity, which could be useful for large media libraries, work files, or backups.
The display is another highlight. PCCooler equips the FC300-CS with a 27-inch QHD IPS panel, offering a sharper resolution than standard Full HD screens. The panel also supports a 165Hz refresh rate, which is much faster than the 60Hz screens commonly found on many all-in-one PCs. While this does not necessarily make the FC300-CS a dedicated gaming machine, the smoother refresh rate should make general use, scrolling, video playback, and lighter gaming feel more fluid.
Brightness is rated at 350 nits, which should be suitable for typical home and office environments. The IPS panel should also provide good viewing angles, making the system useful for shared workspaces, video calls, content viewing, and productivity setups.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, giving users modern wireless options for internet access, peripherals, headphones, and accessories. The system also includes USB ports, RJ45 Ethernet, and audio and video output, making it versatile enough for office desks, home workstations, and compact entertainment setups.
The main appeal of the PCCooler FC300-CS is its modular approach. All-in-one desktops are popular because they reduce cable clutter and save space, but they often come with a trade-off: once the internal hardware becomes outdated or the display fails, repairs and upgrades can be difficult or uneconomical. By allowing the display and computer module to come apart, PCCooler is aiming to extend the usable life of the machine.
However, the success of this idea will depend on long-term support. A modular design is only useful if compatible replacement displays and compute modules are actually released over time. PCCooler has not yet confirmed how many future modules it plans to offer, so buyers will have to wait and see how the ecosystem develops.
Pricing and availability for markets such as the US and UK have not been announced yet. Until those details are confirmed, the FC300-CS remains an interesting concept with strong potential, especially for users who want a cleaner desktop setup without giving up upgrade flexibility.
If PCCooler follows through with future modules, the FC300-CS could stand out as one of the more forward-thinking all-in-one PCs, combining a high-refresh-rate QHD display, upgradeable memory, dual storage options, and a replaceable compute unit in a single compact design.
