A fresh leak may have just given the clearest look yet at the Oura Ring 5, and it suggests the next-generation smart ring is focusing on what matters most to users: better sensor performance, more finish options, and easier charging while traveling.
According to the leaked images, the Oura Ring 5 is expected to launch in six different finishes. Shoppers may be able to choose from black, silver, and gold in a glossy look, along with a matte black option, a brushed silver finish, and a new color called “Deep Rose.” Notably, Deep Rose appears to replace the previous rose gold style, giving the lineup a slightly more modern and distinct aesthetic.
While the outside finish options are expanding, the biggest changes seem to be happening on the inside. Just like earlier models, multiple electrical and optical sensors are visible along the inner band. However, the sensor layout reportedly isn’t staying the same this time around. The leak indicates Oura is adjusting the positioning of the sensors, and more importantly, the optical sensors themselves appear noticeably larger than those found on the Oura Ring 4.
That size increase could be more than cosmetic. A larger optical sensor area often allows for improved signal capture, which can translate into more reliable health and sleep tracking. The leak also points to extra red and green LEDs for optical sensing, which could enhance readings for heart rate monitoring and blood oxygen (SpO2) tracking. Whether the Oura Ring 5 introduces entirely new sensor hardware hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the visible upgrade hints strongly at a push for greater accuracy and consistency in real-world use.
The leak doesn’t only focus on the ring. Two additional images reportedly show the charging accessories, including the usual home charging station and a portable charging case designed for topping up the battery on the go. If the leak is accurate, the overall design of these accessories looks largely unchanged, suggesting Oura is keeping the charging experience familiar while expanding portability.
For anyone considering a smart ring for sleep tracking, recovery insights, and daily wellness metrics, the Oura Ring 5 is shaping up to be a meaningful refinement rather than a dramatic redesign. More finish choices and potentially improved heart rate and SpO2 accuracy are the kind of upgrades that can make a real difference in day-to-day wear—especially for users who rely on consistent sensor data.
