Oukitel WP35 to Arrive as a Chic Rugged Smartphone with Massive Battery and Android 14

The rugged smartphone market is set to welcome a new player, the Oukitel WP35, which combines robustness with style. Unlike its predecessor, the WP36, which was noted for having the most powerful speaker of its time, the WP35 is making headlines with what’s considered to be the largest smartphone battery introduced in its year.

Distinctively different in design from the WP36, the upcoming WP35 sports a more modern appearance, reminiscent of a sturdier Honor Magic6. It differs significantly from the WP36’s design, which bore a resemblance to a hybrid Nubia Z60 Ultra.

Camera-wise, the Oukitel WP35 may not stand out with its rear setup that includes a 2MP macro lens, an 8MP ‘night vision’ camera, and a primary 64MP sensor. However, it compensates these with impressive internal specifications, including the latest Android 14 operating system and the Dimensity 6100+ platform.

One of its most remarkable features is the 11,000mAh battery, although this capacious power source is likely to contribute to the phone’s considerable weight of 360 grams and a thickness of 15.3mm, not to mention the extended charging time due to an 18W maximum charging rate.

The Oukitel WP35 is touted to boast a 6.6-inch FHD+ display, albeit with an older water-drop notch design. Yet, it still manages to intrigue with potential for 2TB of expandable storage, a customizable button on the side, and an attractive introductory price around $200.

Anticipation builds as the Oukitel WP35 is expected to make its debut on the online platform AliExpress in May 2024. In the meantime, those looking for a smaller rugged option might find the K16 an interesting choice. The K16 comes with a 3.5-inch display and a 3,050mAh battery and is available on Amazon at a price of $185.99, targeting a different segment of smartphone users who prioritize compactness and affordability.
