Oppo’s Find X9 Ultra Leaks Early After Accidental Reveal Ahead of Global Launch

Oppo has officially confirmed that the Oppo Find X9 Ultra will debut globally on April 21, positioning it as the top-tier model in the Find X9 lineup. With launch day just around the corner, the phone has already been drawing attention after a series of product images briefly appeared on Oppo’s official Weibo account before being removed. While most of those visuals are now gone, small thumbnail previews still hint at three striking color choices that are expected to be available at release.

The first option is a dark, dual-tone look called Earth Tundra, designed to feel premium and understated. The second is Polar Glacier, a lighter finish that appears to lean into a cool, icy blue tone. The third is Sand Canyon, an orange variant with a textured back that stands out from typical flagship color palettes and seems aimed at buyers who want something more distinctive.

Beyond the colors, the leaked visuals offered a clearer look at the phone’s design. The Oppo Find X9 Ultra carries a large circular camera module on the back, housing four rear sensors and featuring Hasselblad branding—signaling a major focus on mobile photography. A promotional clip that was also removed suggested the phone will use a flat display with a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, a style many users prefer for its clean look and easier screen protection. There also appears to be a dedicated button on the right side, similar to what’s seen on the Find X9 Pro, and it’s widely expected to act as a quick-launch key for the camera or capture controls.

Camera hardware looks set to be one of the biggest selling points. Oppo has confirmed a powerful quad-camera setup led by a 200MP Sony LYT-901 primary sensor. It’s joined by a 200MP 3x periscope zoom camera, a 50MP 10x periscope zoom camera for long-range shots, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera for landscapes and group photos. On paper, this is a serious photography package built to compete at the very top of the flagship market, especially for users who care about zoom quality and detail retention.

Performance should match the ambitions. A recent benchmark listing points to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powering the Find X9 Ultra, a next-gen flagship chipset expected to deliver top-end speed for gaming, multitasking, and AI features. If accurate, it would put the phone among the most powerful Android devices available at launch.

Battery and charging details are also shaping up to be impressive. The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is rumored to pack a 7,050mAh battery, which would be a major advantage for heavy users who want long screen-on time without constantly reaching for a charger. Charging support may include 100W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging, allowing quick top-ups even with a larger battery.

Oppo has also confirmed it will unveil the Find X9s alongside the Ultra. Unlike the Ultra’s big flagship approach, the Find X9s is expected to focus on a more compact form factor—an appealing option for people who want high-end features without a huge phone in hand.

With a global launch date locked in, premium design options, a headline-grabbing camera system, flagship-level performance, and a potentially massive battery, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about smartphones of the month.
