Oppo has unveiled the Oppo K14x in India, positioning it as a fresh budget-to-mid-range Android option. What makes this launch especially interesting is how closely the K14x mirrors the recently released Samsung Galaxy F70e. With near-identical core specs, both phones are clearly targeting the same buyers looking for a smooth display, dependable performance, and modern essentials at an affordable price.
Starting up front, the Oppo K14x comes with a large 6.75-inch HD+ display paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations. Oppo also highlights a peak brightness of 1,125 nits, along with an outdoor mode designed to improve visibility in bright conditions. There’s also glove support, a handy extra for anyone using their phone outdoors or in cooler environments.
For performance, Oppo goes with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, the same processor found in its closest rival. Configurations also line up closely: buyers can choose between 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM, and both versions include 128GB storage with support for expansion.
Camera hardware is kept simple, which is typical for this segment. The Oppo K14x features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor, plus a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Around the rest of the build, Oppo includes many of the features shoppers still actively search for in budget phones: a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.4, and Wi-Fi 5.
Where the Oppo K14x pulls ahead is in durability and battery-focused upgrades. It carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, giving it stronger protection than some alternatives in the same price range. Battery capacity is also a major highlight: a 6,500mAh battery paired with 45W fast charging. Oppo also includes the charger in the box, which is a meaningful bonus for value-focused buyers.
On the software side, the Oppo K14x ships with ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. Oppo claims the device will remain fast and responsive for up to 48 months, though it doesn’t specify the exact number of years of Android version updates and security patches.
Color options include Icy Blue and Prism Violet, both featuring a geometric pattern meant to stand out from the typical plain finishes in this category.
In India, pricing starts at ₹14,999 for the 4GB RAM model and reaches ₹16,999 for the 6GB RAM variant. Pre-orders are already live through Oppo’s own channels, with shipping expected to begin on February 16.
For shoppers comparing phones in this price range, the Oppo K14x aims to win on the practical details—bigger battery, faster charging, included charger, and stronger IP protection—while keeping the display and performance experience competitive for everyday use.
