Onyx Unveils the Sleek and Lightweight BOOX T10C as a Rival to the BOOX Tab Ultra C

The BOOX T10C, a sleek new Android tablet featuring an E Ink Kaleido color display, has been launched exclusively for the Chinese market. Designed to be a productivity powerhouse, this latest addition to Onyx’s lineup offers stylus support and a myriad of features, all packed into a lightweight and slim design.

Onyx’s BOOX T10C flaunts a vibrant 10.3-inch E Ink Kaleido 3 color touch display with a resolution of 2480 x 1860, capable of displaying up to 4096 colors. The innovative screen utilizes BOOX’s Super Refresh technology (BSR) version 2.0, which markedly reduces ghosting and provides smoother page transitions. Housed in a CNC aluminum alloy body, this device is impressively thin at just 5.5mm, making it leaner than the BOOX Tab Ultra C by a notable margin.

Under the hood, the BOOX T10C is powered by an unspecified Snapdragon octa-core chipset clocked at 2.4GHz, combined with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. While it lacks a microSD card slot for expanded storage, the USB-C port with OTG functionality allows for easy connection to thumb drives for additional storage needs.

Running on Android 12, the BOOX T10C is more versatile than a standard e-reader, enabling users to install and run multiple apps simultaneously, split the screen for multitasking, and even cast content to an external display. An integrated AI app can assist in generating content ideas and summarizing texts, enhancing productivity.

The device excels in note-taking and creative tasks, thanks to its stylus support which allows users to highlight texts, annotate documents, sketch, and take notes with ease. Preinstalled templates facilitate quick note-taking, and the handwriting-to-text conversion feature adds an extra layer of convenience. It also includes a built-in audio recorder with speech-to-text functionality.

Connectivity options on the BOOX T10C include dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. Additional features include an auto-rotation sensor, a built-in speaker, and a 3,700mAh battery, ensuring prolonged usage. Priced at around CNY 3499 (approximately $492), the package includes an electromagnetic stylus.

Although there’s no word yet on a global release, those interested in a similar device might consider the BOOX Tablet Note Air 3C available on Amazon. It offers a comparable 10.3-inch Kaleido 3 color screen, stylus support, and various other features for a competitive price of $499.
