The Onyx Boox Leaf 3C e-reader unveils a multi-color reading experience with its 7-inch advanced Kaleido 3 E Ink panel. This panel delivers a display resolution of 1680 x 1264, capable of rendering 16 shades of gray along with 4096 colors. While displaying color, the pixel density is 150 PPI, while for grayscale images, it goes up to 300 PPI.
With its capability to display vibrant colors and maintain crystal-clear visibility even under bright sunlight, the Boox Leaf 3C e-reader excels not just for reading books, but also for enjoying comics, anime, and magazines enriched with colorful graphics. Its front light feature also ensures comfortable reading in low-light conditions. The product adopts a design akin to the Amazon Kindle Oasis, with a wider edge on one side to facilitate easy one-handed handling and a dedicated button for page-turning.
Running on Android 11, the Onyx Boox Leaf 3C allows users to install a wide array of e-book and magazine applications. Inside, the device is powered by a Qualcomm processor, supported by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card. The e-reader is also powered by a 2300 mAh battery that provides up to 20 days of usage on a single charge, with USB-C for recharging.
The Onyx Boox Leaf 3C is initially priced at 1789 yuan, roughly equivalent to $249, and is launching in China. International release plans have yet to be confirmed by the manufacturer.
