OnePlus Unveils Massive 7,000mAh Smartphone That Keeps the Headphone Jack

OnePlus N6 Lite 4G Debuts With 7,000mAh Battery, 120Hz Display, and Headphone Jack

OnePlus has expanded its budget smartphone lineup with the launch of the OnePlus N6 Lite 4G, a new entry-level model designed for users who want long battery life, a large display, and practical everyday features without paying flagship prices.

Positioned as the most affordable device in the OnePlus N series, the N6 Lite 4G focuses on essentials. It features a large 6.75-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1,570 × 720 pixels. While it is not a high-resolution panel, OnePlus has added a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling, browsing, and general navigation feel more fluid. The display also reaches a typical brightness of 700 nits, making it suitable for regular indoor and outdoor use.

Under the hood, the OnePlus N6 Lite 4G is powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset. This 12nm processor includes an eight-core CPU paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. It is built for basic smartphone tasks such as messaging, social media, web browsing, video streaming, and light app usage rather than heavy gaming or demanding multitasking.

The biggest highlight of the phone is its massive 7,000mAh battery. This capacity is larger than what is usually found in many budget smartphones, making the N6 Lite 4G a strong option for users who prioritize endurance. The device supports 15W wired charging, along with 5W wired reverse charging, allowing it to top up smaller accessories or another phone in emergencies.

For photography, the OnePlus N6 Lite 4G comes with a 13MP rear camera using an OmniVision OV13B10 sensor with autofocus. On the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera. Video recording is capped at 1080p at 30fps from the rear camera, while the front camera records up to 720p at 30fps. The camera setup is simple, but it should be enough for casual photos, video calls, and basic social media use.

OnePlus has also included several practical features that budget phone buyers often appreciate. The N6 Lite 4G offers an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The return of the headphone jack is especially useful for users who still prefer wired earphones.

Storage expansion is another key advantage. The phone supports microSD cards of up to 2TB, which is helpful given that the device is sold in a single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration. Users who store lots of photos, music, videos, or offline content will likely benefit from the expandable storage option.

In terms of design, the OnePlus N6 Lite 4G measures 8.95mm thick and weighs around 215 grams. It is available in two color options: Neo Green and Midnight Hype.

The OnePlus N6 Lite 4G has launched in India with a price of INR 16,999, which is approximately $177. With its huge battery, 120Hz display, expandable storage, splash resistance, and headphone jack, the device is aimed at buyers looking for an affordable 4G smartphone that covers the basics while offering excellent battery life.
