OnePlus is gearing up to launch a new flagship gaming phone in China called the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, and the company has started turning up the hype with a fresh batch of official images. The newly released photos show the device from multiple angles, offering a closer look at its styling and, in particular, a rear design that’s clearly meant to stand out in a crowded flagship market.
At first glance, the Ace 6 Ultra doesn’t dramatically depart from the standard Ace 6. OnePlus sticks with a familiar camera island layout, and close-up shots confirm a dual-camera setup on the back. For anyone expecting a completely new silhouette, this looks more like a refined evolution than a full redesign.
Where the Ace 6 Ultra separates itself is in the overall rear aesthetic. OnePlus is introducing a color option called “Ace Awakening,” and the signature detail is a “3D-etched awakening texture.” In practical terms, it’s a reflective Ace logo pattern that catches and shifts with the light depending on the viewing angle, giving the back panel a more dynamic, premium look than a flat finish.
OnePlus is also emphasizing comfort during long gaming sessions. According to the company, the Ace 6 Ultra uses a heat-insulating metal frame designed to help keep heat away from your hand. That could be a meaningful quality-of-life upgrade for players who push their phones hard with competitive titles, extended play sessions, or performance modes that typically raise surface temperatures.
Another ergonomic detail shown in the official images is the use of more aggressive “R-angles,” which OnePlus says are intended to improve grip and make the phone feel more comfortable in the hand. On the front, the bezels appear slightly thicker than those on the recently launched Ace 6T (which debuted internationally as the OnePlus 15R), suggesting OnePlus may be prioritizing durability and usability over chasing the absolute slimmest borders.
Even so, the bezels still appear fairly thin compared to many mainstream flagships, keeping the display-focused look that buyers expect from a modern gaming-ready phone.
On the performance side, OnePlus has already confirmed the Ace 6 Ultra will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 and will include a range of gaming-focused features. While OnePlus hasn’t yet announced an exact launch date for China—or whether the Ace 6 Ultra will release globally—the steady flow of official teasers strongly suggests more details are coming soon.
For fans searching for a next-generation OnePlus gaming phone, the early signs point to a device built around standout design, improved in-hand comfort, and flagship-level performance aimed squarely at mobile gaming enthusiasts.
