OnePlus is gearing up to expand its popular Nord lineup again, and the brand has begun dropping official hints that a new Nord-series smartphone is on the way. The Nord family has built its reputation around delivering strong performance and modern features at mid-range pricing, making each new release a big moment for buyers hunting for value without stepping into flagship-level costs.
To recap, the OnePlus Nord 5 series arrived in July 2025 with two models: the OnePlus Nord 5 and the OnePlus Nord CE 5. Now, OnePlus India has shared a teaser image on X confirming that something new is coming, though the company is keeping the key specs and design under wraps for the moment.
Even without official details, early signals point to the upcoming phone being the OnePlus Nord 6. A device believed to be the Nord 6, carrying the model number CPH2795, previously appeared in a benchmark listing. That listing suggested the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, a processor aimed at delivering high-end performance while keeping costs more approachable than premium flagship silicon.
Interestingly, that same Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip is also used in the OnePlus Turbo 6, which launched earlier in China. This matters because OnePlus has often used a familiar strategy with the Nord series: launching a phone in China under one name, then bringing a closely related or rebranded version to global markets under the Nord branding. If that pattern holds true again, the OnePlus Nord 6 could be closely based on the OnePlus Turbo 6.
There may be more than one device in the pipeline, too. Another OnePlus phone with model number CPH2805 has reportedly passed BIS certification, fueling speculation that it could be the OnePlus Nord CE 6. Rumors suggest this model may be a reworked version of the Turbo 6V, potentially giving buyers a second option in the Nord 6 family—likely focused on balancing features and affordability.
As for timing, the OnePlus Nord 6 series is expected to make its global debut in April, which means official announcements and full specifications may not be far away.
Separately, OnePlus has also announced that smartphone prices in China are increasing due to rising memory costs—an industry-wide pressure that could influence pricing and configurations across future releases.
