Olight Launches New Baton EDC Flashlights Featuring 1,600+ Lumens and Dual-Switch Control

Olight is expanding its everyday carry lineup with the new Baton series, a pair of compact flashlights built for people who want high brightness, long battery life, and pocket-friendly size without sacrificing toughness. The series launches with two models aimed at slightly different needs: the Baton 4 Pro for powerful daily use and the Baton Ultra for users who want even more output and longer reach.

The Baton 4 Pro delivers up to 1,600 lumens using a 15W LED and is rated to throw light as far as 200 meters (656 feet). Stepping up, the Baton Ultra pushes up to 1,800 lumens from an 18W self-developed LED and increases the rated beam distance to 300 meters (984 feet). For anyone comparing compact EDC flashlights, that extra throw can make a difference for outdoor walks, security checks, and spotting objects at a distance.

Both flashlights use a dual-switch setup designed for fast, practical control. The side switch gives access to all five brightness modes: turbo, high, medium, low, and moonlight. The tail switch is built for quick activation of the brighter settings, offering instant access to high and turbo, plus an optional momentary-on function for quick bursts of light.

Power comes from a 3,500mAh 18650 rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Olight rates runtime at just over 198 minutes in the brightest turbo mode, while the lowest moonlight setting can stretch to as long as 100 days, making the Baton series appealing for emergency kits and extended carry. Charging is flexible as well: you can top up through a hidden USB-C port or use the MCC3 magnetic wireless charging pad that attaches at the tail.

Durability and carry comfort are clearly part of the design. The Baton 4 Pro uses 6061 aluminum and is rated for drops up to 1.5 meters (about 3.3 feet). The Baton Ultra uses Olight’s proprietary O-Aluminium and increases the drop rating to 2.0 meters (about 6.6 feet). Both bodies include an anti-slip texture for a more secure grip, and each flashlight stays under 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) in length to remain easy to carry in a pocket, bag, or organizer.

For weather resistance, both models are IPX8-rated, meaning they’re designed for continuous water submersion deeper than 1 meter (4.9 feet). They’re also rated to operate from 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F), covering typical day-to-day and outdoor conditions.

Pricing and color options vary by model. The Baton 4 Pro is offered in matte black, orange, and OD green with an MSRP of $69.99. The Baton Ultra arrives in olive green with an MSRP of $129.99. Both flashlights are set to go on sale starting April 21, 2026 at midnight GMT through Olight and Amazon.
