NVIDIA Releases GeForce Hotfix Driver 576.26 to Address Grey Screen Issues and Display Flickers

After the release of Game Ready Driver 576.02, NVIDIA has introduced the Hotfix Display Driver 576.26, enhancing support for the RTX 50 series GPUs. This update aims to resolve various issues like screen flickering, game crashes, and other bugs that have been plaguing these systems.

NVIDIA has been diligent in addressing these concerns, which have prominently affected the RTX 50 and RTX 40 series. Beyond the infamous black screen problems, this new hotfix targets a wide array of glitches impacting both display settings and gaming performance.

Built on the foundation of the Game Ready Driver 576.02 and incorporating earlier fixes from Hotfix version 576.15, the new 576.26 driver tackles some unique challenges. For instance, it resolves the uncommon gray screen crashes observed in multi-monitor setups using RTX 50 series GPUs. Unlike the more frequent black screen crashes, the gray screen issue mainly affects setups with multiple displays.

Moreover, Hotfix driver 576.26 addresses widespread flickering issues reported by RTX 50 GPU users. These often occur with DisplayPort 2.1 connections on monitors running at high refresh rates. The flickering, which can appear randomly or just on the screen’s lower half, has been a significant concern. The update also fixes blank screen problems with DP 2.1 when HDR is enabled on some LG displays.

Gaming enthusiasts will be pleased to know that numerous game-related issues have been addressed. Crashes and freezes in popular titles such as Black Myth: Wukong, Forza Horizon 5, Forza Motorsport, Dead Island 2, Horizon Forbidden West, and Resident Evil 4 Remake are reportedly fixed.

The recently launched Game Ready Driver 576.02 also delivered major updates for the RTX 50 series, improving black screen issues and addressing bugs impacting both displays and games. This driver notably enhanced the performance of RTX 50 series GPUs, offering up to a 7% boost for models like the RTX 5080. Users have also noticed improved performance on RTX 40 and RTX 30 series GPUs.

With these updates, we anticipate a decline in display issues and game crashes, providing a smoother experience for users moving forward.
