Nvidia Joins Forces with Indian Tech Giants to Accelerate AI Innovation

Nvidia is teaming up with major Indian IT giants to propel the advancement of artificial intelligence in India, aiming to open up new job avenues and enhance skills in the service sector. This collaboration includes partnerships with renowned companies such as Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Tech Mahindra, and Wipro. Through this initiative, Nvidia envisions ushering in a fresh wave of opportunities in AI development.

Tech Mahindra is spearheading a Center of Excellence (CoE) that will leverage Nvidia’s AI enterprise solutions to integrate generative AI into corporate applications. As part of this effort, they are working on Project Indus 2.0, which focuses on creating an AI model tailored for Hindi and its various dialects. This model is built on Nemotron-4-Mini-Hindi-4B with an array of four billion language parameters. It incorporates a mix of real-world and synthetic Hindi data, complemented by English data for a holistic approach.

Tata Consultancy Services is making strides with enterprise solutions that target industries such as automotive, telecommunications, financial services, and retail. They have already trained over 50,000 AI professionals to support businesses in adopting and executing effective AI strategies.

Wipro is also in the game, having established a generative AI studio using Nvidia solutions to expedite applications in sectors like supply chain management and retail. Meanwhile, Infosys Topaz is set to aid businesses in seamlessly weaving generative AI into their operational frameworks.

Beyond these initiatives, companies like Reliance and Ola Electric are exploring ways to utilize Nvidia’s Omniverse simulation technology to refine and test factory designs before they hit the ground.

During the ongoing Nvidia AI Summit in Mumbai, CEO Jensen Huang highlighted that by the end of this year, India’s computing power will witness a monumental increase, estimated to be 20 times more than what it was just slightly over a year ago. This partnership marks a significant milestone in setting the stage for a future brimming with AI-enhanced possibilities in India.
