NVIDIA’s CEO, Jensen Huang, recently revealed that President Trump is proud of NVIDIA’s achievements, dismissing concerns about the ongoing tariff situation.
Huang expressed that while chip tariffs could pose challenges, major tech companies have the resilience to navigate these hurdles. As the largest tech entity in the U.S., NVIDIA’s perspectives, especially those of its CEO, hold significant weight.
When the Trump administration introduced export controls, Huang initially voiced concerns about their potential disruption to the American market. However, he now shows optimism toward Trump’s controversial tariff strategies, suggesting that these economic policies may ultimately be absorbed by the markets.
Huang believes that although disruptions are uncomfortable, adjustments will be made as President Trump negotiates and countries find their footing. His recent meeting with Trump, where the President congratulated NVIDIA on reaching a $4 trillion valuation, underscores this positive outlook. NVIDIA’s success has not only set a financial milestone but has also elevated America’s AI leadership through unparalleled hardware innovation.
Despite concerns over semiconductor tariffs, Huang reassures that NVIDIA, and big tech in general, are well-equipped to manage these changes. He emphasizes the industry’s history of enduring various regulations and taxes, expressing confidence that businesses will adapt and thrive.
As TSMC’s largest customer, NVIDIA’s calm stance on tariffs reflects readiness to tackle potential supply chain disruptions. Additionally, Huang’s upcoming visit to China to engage with local leaders highlights the company’s commitment to maintaining strong regional ties, further showcasing its strategic resilience amidst global challenges.
