HMD could soon bring its stylish Touch AI feature phone to more countries after its initial launch in China in July 2026. The compact 4G phone stands out with a design that appears inspired by the colorful Nokia Lumia era, giving it a nostalgic yet modern look for users who want something simpler than a full smartphone.
The HMD Touch AI features a 3.2-inch touchscreen, making it more interactive than a traditional keypad-only feature phone. It also includes a 1,950mAh battery, USB Type-C charging, dual-SIM 4G support, and Wi-Fi connectivity. These features position it as a practical device for users who need essential connectivity, long battery life, and a pocket-friendly form factor.
A recent leak suggests that the HMD Touch AI is being prepared for release outside China. The phone is expected to arrive in several Asian markets, including Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. Other regions may also be included, though the full list has not yet been confirmed.
The global version may come bundled with useful accessories, including a free 8GB microSD card, a protective case, and a screen protector. If accurate, this could make the device more appealing to budget-conscious buyers looking for a complete package right out of the box.
The HMD Touch AI is also tipped to offer more features than the HMD Touch 4G, which launched in India in October 2025. One of the key additions could be an AI-powered feature described in the leak as the “Taobao AI Big Model Teen Edition.” It is reportedly expected to work without requiring a subscription, which could help the phone stand out in the affordable feature phone segment.
Other expected features include Alipay support for mobile payments and a QR code reader. These additions suggest HMD may be targeting users who want a basic phone that still supports everyday digital tasks such as payments, scanning codes, messaging, and online connectivity.
In terms of colors, the HMD Touch 4G was previously offered in Cyan and Dark Blue. The international version of the HMD Touch AI may expand the lineup with additional finishes, including white and gold. This could give buyers more style options, especially for those drawn to the phone’s Lumia-like design identity.
Pricing for the global model has not yet been officially revealed. In China, the HMD Touch AI is priced at CNY 469, which is roughly around $70. If HMD manages to keep the international price close to that range, the device could become an attractive choice for users looking for an affordable 4G touchscreen feature phone with AI features and a distinctive design.
