Thermal Grizzly’s WireView PRO II Noctua Edition is now available, giving high-end GPU users a quieter way to monitor and protect their 16-pin power connectors, especially on demanding RTX 50 series graphics cards.
The new model builds on the standard WireView PRO II, a monitoring adapter designed to help prevent dangerous connector overheating by tracking power delivery across individual pins. With modern graphics cards drawing increasingly high levels of power through 12V-2×6 connectors, uneven load distribution can become a serious concern. Thermal Grizzly’s solution is aimed at spotting those problems early while also helping keep the connector area cooler during heavy GPU workloads.
The big upgrade in this new edition is the cooling system. Thermal Grizzly has partnered with Noctua to replace the stock fan with a larger 40 mm NF-A4x10n fan. This fan is paired with a redesigned PCB and a CNC-milled aluminum heatsink, giving the WireView PRO II Noctua Edition improved thermal performance while significantly reducing noise.
According to performance details shared for the product, the Noctua Edition can handle a 300W GPU load with the fan completely off. By comparison, the standard WireView PRO II begins spinning its fan after around 5 minutes and 40 seconds at a 200W load, and after roughly 2 minutes and 15 seconds at 300W. Under heavier 400W and 480W loads, the Noctua Edition reportedly doubles the amount of time before the fan needs to activate, while also keeping the connector area about 3°C cooler.
Noise levels are another major advantage. The standard fan runs at around 5000 RPM and produces 39.4 dBA when measured from 10 cm away. The Noctua fan runs at under 2000 RPM and produces only 21.5 dBA from the same distance. That makes the Noctua Edition a better fit for users building quiet gaming PCs or workstation systems where fan noise matters.
The WireView PRO II Noctua Edition is especially relevant for enthusiasts using power-hungry RTX 50 series graphics cards. Reports of 16-pin and 12V-2×6 connector melting have made power monitoring and connector safety a bigger priority for PC builders.
