Mobvoi, the company behind the TicWatch brand, is offering users of the TicWatch Pro 3 LTE and TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra an opportunity to participate in a new beta program. This program specifically targets the latest Wear OS 3 update and includes testing the eSIM activation process on these smartwatches. Furthermore, the company has hinted at the inclusion of an undisclosed easter egg within the software update, creating a buzz of curiosity amongst users.
Owners of these smartwatch models who are willing to join the beta program will get the chance to experience the Wear OS 3 update in its testing phase. Mobvoi has emphasized that while beta participants are encouraged to activate their eSIMs to fully assess the new features, it is not a mandatory requirement for participation. To facilitate the process, Mobvoi has already identified a number of suitable SIM operators, which include Orange France, Vodafone Germany, Vodafone Spain, and Vodafone UK.
It’s important to note that beta testers will temporarily lose access to Google Pay once they install the beta update. Those interested in being part of this beta rollout are required to fill out a questionnaire, with the update being pushed to the successful applicants within 24 hours of acceptance. Space is limited, with only 200 slots available for this initial testing phase.
As excitement grows within the Mobvoi community, there is anticipation for when the full public release of the Wear OS 3 update will become available to all TicWatch Pro 3 LTE and Pro 3 Ultra users. This initiative reflects Mobvoi’s commitment to enhancing user experience through community engagement and rigorous testing of its smartwatch features.
If you own one of the eligible smartwatch models and are looking to be at the forefront of testing the latest software updates, this could be a great opportunity. Stay tuned for further announcements on the wider release following the completion of the beta phase.
