NAND Flash Shortage Could Ease in 2027 as Suppliers Prepare to Boost Production
After months of rising storage prices and tight availability, the NAND flash market may finally be heading toward relief. Industry forecasts suggest that the current NAND shortage will likely continue through 2026, but supply conditions could begin improving in the second half of 2027 as manufacturers expand output and upgrade production lines.
The storage market has been under heavy pressure as demand from AI servers, data centers, and enterprise infrastructure continues to absorb large amounts of NAND flash memory. This has contributed to higher prices across the market, affecting everything from SSDs to consumer electronics such as smartphones and laptops.
While memory buyers may not see immediate relief, the outlook for NAND appears more positive than the situation in the DRAM market, where shortages are expected to last much longer. AI demand remains the biggest driver of the NAND market
