MSI Unveils the Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG: A Tiny 0.51L Mini PC Driven by Intel’s Panther Lake Power

MSI has unveiled a new ultra-compact mini PC designed for business and enterprise users who want strong performance and modern AI features without sacrificing desk space. Called the Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG, this tiny system is one of MSI’s smallest mini PCs to date, packing powerful Intel Panther Lake-based hardware into a chassis that’s just 0.51 liters in volume. It’s also lightweight and easy to move between offices, meeting rooms, and workstations.

The key selling point is efficiency and AI-ready performance. The Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG is powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors built on Panther Lake, pairing everyday responsiveness with the kind of onboard AI acceleration that’s becoming increasingly important for productivity tools, automation, and AI-assisted workflows. MSI plans to offer multiple CPU options, giving buyers flexibility depending on budget and workload. Configurations range from an entry-level 6-core/6-thread Intel Core Ultra 5 322 up to a 16-core/16-thread Intel Core Ultra 9 386H.

Despite the tiny footprint, MSI is aiming for serious capability. The Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG measures about 4.71 x 4.54 x 1.48 inches, yet supports up to 96 GB of DDR5 SO-DIMM memory. Storage is handled through a single M.2 2280 SSD slot, keeping the design compact while still allowing fast NVMe performance for business applications.

MSI also leans into practicality with a tool-free chassis design, allowing quick access for maintenance or upgrades (even if the upgrade path is naturally limited by the mini PC’s ultra-small size). For workplaces that prioritize convenience and security, the power button includes fingerprint recognition, helping streamline secure logins. Buyers can choose systems that ship with Windows 11 Pro or Windows 11 Home, depending on the intended environment.

Connectivity is another area where this mini PC targets professional use. The system includes WiFi 7 for next-gen wireless performance, dual LAN ports for flexible wired networking, dual HDMI ports for multi-display setups, and a mix of USB Type-A and Type-C connections. It also features two Thunderbolt ports with DisplayPort 1.4 alt-mode support, enabling high-bandwidth peripherals and additional display options—useful for docking, external storage, or clean desk setups.

MSI says the Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG reflects a broader sustainability push, using post-consumer recycled plastics and FSC-certified packaging materials to reduce environmental impact—an increasingly important factor for organizations purchasing hardware at scale.

Availability is set for May 1, 2026. Pricing starts at $569 for barebones models and goes up to $1,669 for fully configured versions, offering options that span from basic office deployment to higher-end compact workstations focused on AI-capable productivity.
