Carcass Clad Announced: A New Co-Op Tank Horror Game from Wrong Organ
Wrong Organ, the studio behind MOUTHWASHING, has revealed its next project: Carcass Clad, a tense three-player co-op horror game built around operating a tank under terrifying conditions.
Carcass Clad is currently in development for Windows PC via Steam. A release date has not been announced yet, but the game’s concept already stands out as a distinctive mix of survival horror, teamwork, and heavy mechanical simulation.
In Carcass Clad, players take control of the Yksiö, a massive war machine that must be operated from the inside by a coordinated crew. This is not a simple arcade tank game. Every lever, system, weapon, and action must be handled manually, creating a tactile and claustrophobic experience where communication is just as important as mechanical skill.
The story follows the crew of the Yksiö as they defy orders and push through the ruined city of Vhorgorod. With no allies left to rely on, survival depends on scavenging what remains of the Ostravyan defenses while navigating streets twisted by grotesque chimeric growths of gold and flesh. The few who still remain in the city have transformed machines into horrifying vessels of war, adorned with strange divine livestock and sent back into battle.
The game is designed around three unique roles, with each player responsible for a different part of the tank. Every decision matters, and even a small mistake can spiral into disaster.
Kanerva serves as the commander. Once drawn to the idea of an easy and glamorous life, she was forced into military service by the spreading war. Now, her hope of returning to normalcy has hardened her into a ruthless leader.
As Kanerva, players act as the eyes and ears of the Yksiö. Visibility is extremely limited, so the commander must rely on the periscope, radio, and battlefield awareness to identify targets, calculate distance, choose routes, locate supplies, and warn the crew of incoming danger. In combat, calm decision-making is vital. The survival of the entire tank depends on clear orders.
Erkki takes the role of gunner. More familiar with shady gambling halls than military discipline, Erkki brings sharp aim and a quick tongue to the battlefield.
As the gunner, players operate the Yksiö’s huge 158mm cannon. Ammo is scarce, so every shot must count. Erkki must manage the inventory carousel, process scavenged materials, help refuel the tank, monitor threats with the scanner, load shells, aim carefully, and fire at exactly the right moment. Enemies are armored and dangerous, meaning reckless shooting can leave the crew helpless when they need firepower most.
Taisto is the driver. Originally content with a quiet life in the Savori countryside, he was drafted into war and forced to trade homemade rally cars for a 70-ton steel monster.
As Taisto, players control the Yksiö’s movement through the shattered remains of Vhorgorod. The tank is powerful but difficult to handle, and careless driving can turn it into an easy target. The driver must start and manage the V10 engine, monitor fuel consumption, distribute power across the vehicle, and decide when to hold position for a clean shot or accelerate to flank the enemy. Movement is strategy, and the opposing forces will be trying to outmaneuver the crew in return.
Carcass Clad focuses on three-player PvE horror co-op, with sessions expected to last around two to three hours. The game emphasizes challenging, hands-on mechanics, role-specific gameplay, and tense combat with a heavy, deliberate feel.
With its unusual tank-based setup, intense teamwork, and unsettling horror atmosphere, Carcass Clad is shaping up to be a memorable co-op survival horror experience for players who enjoy communication-driven gameplay and high-pressure decision-making. Wrong Organ appears to be building a game where the real terror comes not only from what waits outside the tank, but from the constant fear that one wrong move inside it could doom the entire crew.
