The company teased the Moto X50 Ultra, imparting a distinctive AI Mobile Phone label, but it’s likely to be recognized simply as the Moto X50 Ultra on the market.
This new smartphone is expected to become available first in China and is set to impress with its elegant vegan leather back panel, an aesthetic choice seen in devices like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The incorporation of a vegan leather back not only elevates the smartphone’s design but also reflects an environmentally-conscious approach in its materials.
Beyond its external allure, the Moto X50 Ultra is projected to harness the power of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This represents a notable step up from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which powers its predecessor, the Moto X40. Outside of China, the Moto X50 Ultra could potentially be known as the Edge 50 Pro in most markets. In North America, Motorola is known to adopt simplified naming conventions, which could result in the device being branded as the ‘Edge+ 2024’.
