Motorola has just unveiled its latest smartphone to the Indian market, the Edge 50 Neo, a device that blends style and durability in a visually appealing package. Adorned in vegan leather finishes with Pantone Curated Colors such as Nautical Blue, Lattè Gold, Grisaille Gray, and Ponciana Red, the Edge 50 Neo stands out not just for its looks but also for its resilience, boasting MIL-STD-810H and IP68 ratings for everyday ruggedness.
Underneath its sleek, flat-edged design, the Edge 50 Neo isn’t just a pretty face. It’s built to last with a promise of class-leading software support, including five Android OS upgrades and five years of security patch updates. This compact contender in the Edge 50 series features a 6.4-inch display loaded with high-end specs typically found in pricier models. These include a 120Hz refresh rate, Always-on Display, HDR10+, and full DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, ensuring vibrant and crisp visuals.
The display also impresses with a peak brightness of 2,800 nits and a 1.5K (Super HD) resolution, making it perfect for multimedia consumption. Power users will appreciate the device’s compatibility with Motorola’s 68W Turbo Power charger, which can deliver around 12 hours of battery life from just 11 minutes of charging.
Despite these impressive features, the Edge 50 Neo includes a moderately sized 4,310mAh battery, which falls short compared to some other smartphones powered by the Dimensity 7300, such as the Vivo V30e.
Currently, the Edge 50 Neo is priced attractively at INR 23,999 (approximately $286), which coincidentally matches the larger 50 Fusion model available on the market. This price includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device is set to launch on September 24, 2024, offering a balanced mix of style, performance, and value.
