Mirthwood Charts Ambitious Development Course Through 2025 and Beyond

Excitement is building as V Publishing and Bad Ridge Games have unveiled the post-launch development roadmap for their eagerly anticipated medieval life simulation RPG, Mirthwood. Fans won’t have to wait long, as the game is set to debut for Windows PC via Steam on September 11th, and there’s even a demo available to play right now.

Here’s a look at what players can expect in the coming updates:

**September:**
Mirthwood will receive a series of foundational updates aimed at polishing the game. These updates will include crucial hotfixes, patches, and performance optimizations. Additionally, players can look forward to earning Steam Achievements and enjoying enhanced controller support.

**October:**
The Fish Are Friends Update 1.1 will dive into the waters of fishing, introduce exciting new Player Housing Upgrades, bring Companions to your journey, add an NPC relationship tracker, and include new Social Actions to enrich the game.

**November:**
Get ready for the Death and Taxes Update 1.2, which will introduce Funeral Events, new Quests, Ailments, and Generated Quests, adding layers to the game’s narrative and challenge.

**December:**
Celebrate the season with The Feast and Festivities Update 1.3. This festive update will feature timed festivals, seasonal Christmas content, new World Events, new crops, exclusive cooking recipes, and official support for Steam Deck.

**Q1 2025:**
The Baby Boom Update will bring a family dynamic to the game. Players can look forward to marriage, special ceremonies, player-created children, inherited abilities, and even the option to continue playing as your child when your character passes away.

**Q2 2025 Onwards:**
The excitement doesn’t end there. The Expansion and Community Update will introduce Co-op Multiplayer, Modding Support, Steam Workshop integration, and the game’s first DLC expansion. This promises to greatly extend the game’s longevity and community involvement.
