MediaTek has wrapped up 2025 with a strong finish, posting solid growth in both its December earnings and full-year revenue. The company’s latest financial update highlights continued demand across key chip markets, helping MediaTek close the year with momentum as it looks toward new growth areas like automotive technology and custom silicon.
In December 2025 alone, MediaTek generated NT$51.266 billion (around US$1.6 billion) in revenue. That marks a 9.32% increase compared to the previous month and a 22.99% jump year over year, signaling a notable upswing to end the year on a high note.
For the full year, MediaTek reported total revenue of NT$595.966 billion. The figures underline how the chipmaker continues to benefit from broad market needs while positioning itself for the next phase of expansion.
Looking ahead, MediaTek is increasingly focused on areas that could shape its longer-term growth. Automotive remains a key target, as vehicles become more reliant on advanced computing for infotainment, connectivity, driver assistance, and future autonomous features. At the same time, the company is also setting its sights on ASIC opportunities—custom-designed chips that are built for specific tasks, often used in high-performance computing, AI workloads, networking, and large-scale enterprise systems.
By pairing strong revenue performance with a push into automotive chips and ASIC development, MediaTek appears to be aiming for a more diversified future—one that’s less dependent on any single segment and better aligned with where global chip demand is headed next.
