Maxsun MS-iCraft B850 AIGA unveiled: an anime-inspired ATX motherboard ready for next‑gen AMD Ryzen
Maxsun is expanding its iCraft lineup with the MS-iCraft B850 AIGA, a full-size ATX motherboard built to support upcoming AMD Ryzen desktop processors while delivering a striking anime-themed aesthetic. Designed for gamers, creators, and PC enthusiasts, it mixes cutting-edge connectivity with aggressive styling and a streamlined BIOS experience.
At 305 x 245 mm, the board centers on a robust 16+2+1 phase power design using 50A stages, fed by dual 8-pin EPS connectors to keep high-core-count CPUs stable under load. Four DDR5 DIMM slots support up to 256 GB with claimed speeds up to 8400 MT/s, offering ample headroom for memory tuning and high-performance workflows.
For expansion, the MS-iCraft B850 AIGA is ready for next-gen GPUs and storage. You get two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots that run at x8/x8 when both are populated, plus a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot for add-in cards. Storage is equally forward-looking with four M.2 slots: two at PCIe Gen5 x4 for ultrafast NVMe SSDs and two at PCIe Gen4 x4, alongside two SATA III ports for legacy drives.
High-speed connectivity is a standout. Rear I/O includes a USB 10 Gbps Type-C port, four USB 10 Gbps Type-A ports, and four USB 2.0 Type-A ports. Internal headers add six more USB connections, including a 20 Gbps Type-C, two 5 Gbps, and three USB 2.0, allowing flexible front-panel and internal device setups.
Networking is equally modern. The board integrates Wi‑Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 via the MediaTek MT7925 controller for low-latency wireless and high throughput, and it steps beyond standard gigabit with a 5GbE LAN port powered by Realtek’s RTL8126 for faster wired performance.
Builders will appreciate the thoughtful header layout: three ARGB and one RGB header for lighting, a COM header, Clear CMOS, one CPU fan, one pump header for liquid cooling, and four chassis fan headers to keep airflow optimized. Maxsun’s new PTM UI BIOS aims to simplify tuning and overclocking with a cleaner interface and added options, making it easier to dial in performance without getting lost in menus.
Visually, the MS-iCraft B850 AIGA embraces the series’ signature anime flair. The all-black PCB and heatsinks are accented with character art across the I/O shroud, PCH heatsink, and even the back of the board, delivering a distinctive build centerpiece without sacrificing functionality.
