Sonoff is expanding its smart home lineup with the NSPanel Pro Gen 2, a compact touchscreen control panel designed to sit on your wall and act as a central hub for connected devices. It’s now available for pre-order directly from the manufacturer, with shipping expected to start in June, and it’s priced at around $120.
At a glance, the NSPanel Pro Gen 2 feels like a permanently mounted alternative to a smart display, but with a more “smart home control first” focus. It’s built to help manage lights, sensors, and other connected gear from one place, while also offering the flexibility of an Android-based terminal.
One of the biggest upgrades for smart home enthusiasts is connectivity. The NSPanel Pro Gen 2 supports Wi‑Fi on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and it can also function as a Matter bridge. That matters because it allows smart home devices that don’t have their own Wi‑Fi to be brought into your wider smart home setup through the panel. On top of that, Zigbee 3.0 support is included, covering devices from Sonoff as well as compatible third-party Zigbee products. For anyone trying to reduce the number of separate hubs and apps in their home, this is a key selling point.
The display is a 3.95-inch touchscreen with a 480 × 480 resolution, making it a small but dedicated controller that can be placed where it’s most useful—near an entryway, in a kitchen, or wherever you typically manage your smart devices. A built-in brightness sensor can automatically adjust the screen so it stays readable in bright conditions and less distracting at night. There’s also presence detection, so the panel can recognize when someone is standing in front of it.
For voice control and audio features, the NSPanel Pro Gen 2 includes two microphones for voice commands and a built-in speaker. In addition to controlling devices and automations, it’s also said to support viewing surveillance camera footage, adding another practical use case for a wall-mounted smart home screen.
Under the hood, it uses an RK3326-S system-on-chip paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. That hardware supports the device’s broader functionality, including the option to install additional apps via F-Droid. This app flexibility is a notable advantage for users who want more than a standard “closed” smart home panel—whether that means extra utilities, dashboards, or other Android-compatible tools that make the display more personalized.
With Matter bridging, Zigbee 3.0 compatibility, dual-band Wi‑Fi, onboard microphones and speaker, and a touchscreen interface sized for quick interactions, the Sonoff NSPanel Pro Gen 2 positions itself as a practical all-in-one smart home control center—especially for households mixing different smart home standards and looking for a cleaner, more unified way to manage everything.
