Marshall Expands Its Jimi Hendrix Collection With Purple Amp, Speaker and Headphones
Marshall is giving three of its popular products a bold Jimi Hendrix-inspired makeover, expanding its limited-edition tribute collection with a new amplifier, portable Bluetooth speaker and wireless headphones. The fresh lineup uses a striking psychedelic mix of purple, black and silver, a visual nod to Hendrix’s legendary style and his deep connection with Marshall amplifiers.
The new collection includes the JMH Studio amplifier, the Emberton III portable speaker and the Major V wireless headphones. While the design is new and eye-catching, most of the hardware remains familiar, especially in the speaker and headphones. In other words, buyers are mainly getting a special-edition look rather than major technical upgrades.
The standout product is the JMH Studio amp, which is based on Marshall’s 1959 Studio Vintage head and cabinet. This hand-built amplifier is assembled in the UK and combines a tube-driven amp head with a cabinet loaded with two 12-inch Celestion V-Type speakers. It can run at either 5W or 20W, while the full cabinet setup is rated at 140W.
As the premium piece in the collection, the JMH Studio amp comes with a serious price tag of $2,499. It is clearly aimed at collectors, Hendrix fans and guitarists who want a limited-edition Marshall amp with vintage character and stage-ready visual appeal.
The Emberton III portable speaker also joins the Hendrix-themed lineup. It keeps the same core specifications as the standard Emberton III, including dual 10W drivers, passive radiators, up to 30 hours of battery life and an IP67 dust and water resistance rating. The main difference is its swirling purple finish, complete with matching LED details.
Marshall has kept the price of the limited-edition Emberton III at $180, the same as the regular model. That makes it a more accessible choice for fans who want the Hendrix-inspired design without paying a collector-level price.
The Major V headphones receive the same psychedelic treatment, with the purple oil-on-water pattern appearing across the inner headband and earcups. Like the speaker, the headphones remain technically unchanged from the standard Major V. They still feature 40mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.3, wireless charging and a claimed battery life of more than 100 hours.
The limited-edition Major V headphones are priced at $159.99, matching the cost of the regular version. For listeners who already like Marshall’s wireless headphone design, this version adds a more expressive look without increasing the price.
Marshall previously introduced a Jimi Hendrix 60th Anniversary Acton III speaker, and this expanded collection continues that celebration with a broader range of products. The new releases focus heavily on style, nostalgia and collector appeal, combining Marshall’s classic rock identity with one of the most iconic guitarists in music history.
For fans of Jimi Hendrix, vintage rock gear and limited-edition audio products, the collection offers a distinctive way to own a piece of Marshall’s tribute series. The amp is the true centerpiece, while the Emberton III speaker and Major V headphones provide more affordable ways to enjoy the same Hendrix-inspired design.
