Lost Castle 2 Storms Into Full Release This Summer

Hunter Studio has locked in the full release date for Lost Castle 2, its fast-paced 2D beat ’em up roguelite built around punchy combat, treasure hunting, and replayable runs. After spending nearly a year in early access on PC, the game officially launches as version 1.0 on June 11, bringing the developer’s roadmap to its finale and delivering the most requested additions from the community.

The June 11 release is positioned as the payoff to the “Phase 6” plan, finishing the story while expanding endgame challenge and build options. Players can expect the climactic Final Story Ending, designed to wrap up Lost Castle 2’s narrative with a proper conclusion rather than leaving threads dangling. For those who live for harder runs, the 1.0 launch also introduces Ethereal Nightmare difficulty levels 4 and 5, billed as the toughest tests in the game and aimed at experienced players who have mastered weapons, dodges, and boss patterns.

Build-crafting is also getting a major boost. Version 1.0 adds the ability to unlock the Third Layer Resonance for Inscriptions, opening up deeper synergies for players who like chasing “perfect run” combinations. With more resonance potential, the game leans further into high-power setups and clever item interactions that can dramatically change how each run plays.

Beyond new content, Lost Castle 2’s full release focuses heavily on refinement. The developer says all out-of-match progression systems have been reworked and balanced using a full year of player feedback, suggesting smoother pacing, clearer rewards, and better long-term progression. The complete 1.0 package will also include the full arsenal of early access content—every weapon type, treasure, armor set, and hidden secret that has been added along the way.

Ahead of launch day, players can already jump into the final major early access update: Hidden Mage Tower. This last content drop adds a secret level, new bosses, rebalanced single-handed weapons, and a revamped story unlock system, acting as a final tune-up before the full release arrives.

Lost Castle 2’s 1.0 launch on June 11 is shaping up to be the definitive version of the game: the finished story, the hardest difficulty tiers yet, more powerful inscription builds, and polished progression designed to keep runs feeling rewarding long after the credits roll.
