Logitech MX Master 4 Special Edition launches with developer-inspired design and limited availability
Logitech has officially introduced a new MX Master 4 Special Edition mouse, giving its popular productivity-focused wireless mouse a fresh visual identity. The limited-edition model is now available for pre-order at $119.99, with shipping scheduled to begin on October 30.
The new version arrives shortly after early rumors suggested Logitech was preparing a special release of the MX Master 4. While the final product does not fully match the previously rumored design, it brings a distinctive style aimed at creators, developers, and tech enthusiasts who want something more expressive on their desk.
Despite the new look, the MX Master 4 Special Edition keeps the same core hardware as the standard MX Master 4. That means buyers can expect the same high-end productivity features, including the MagSpeed scroll wheel, which can move through up to 1,000 lines per second. The mouse also includes built-in haptic feedback and the dedicated Actions Ring button, designed to give users quicker access to shortcuts and workflow tools.
The biggest difference is the design. Logitech has given the Special Edition a bold color combination that mixes light gray, silver, dark charcoal, and bright lime-green accents. The palm rest uses a darker finish, while the main buttons feature angular white patterns that make the mouse stand out from the regular model.
The design also includes several programming-inspired details across the body. On the right button, users will find the text “//Special Edition,” while the thumb rest includes the classic phrase “Hello, World!” Other small symbols and code-like elements are placed around the mouse, reinforcing the developer-themed look.
Logitech describes the release as a limited drop, which means availability may be short-lived. Once current stock sells out, there is no guarantee the company will restock this specific design.
For users hoping for upgraded performance, the Special Edition may not offer a reason to switch from the regular MX Master 4. However, for anyone who values desk aesthetics, collectible tech accessories, or developer-themed hardware, this version adds a unique visual twist to one of Logitech’s most recognizable productivity mice.
At $119.99, the MX Master 4 Special Edition costs the same as the standard model, making it an appealing option for buyers who were already planning to purchase Logitech’s latest premium wireless mouse. The combination of familiar features and a limited-edition design could make it one of the more eye-catching productivity accessories of the season.
