LG’s New 32-Inch E-Ink Display Adds Magnetic Qi2 Power Bank Support

LG’s 32-Inch E-Paper Display Brings Wireless-Style Magnetic Charging and Ultra-Low Power Viewing

LG is preparing to launch a new 32-inch E-Paper Display, model 32RS1Q-B, aimed at users and businesses looking for a large, low-power screen for information, signage, dashboards, menus, schedules, and other static or slow-changing content.

The display uses e-paper technology, which is known for consuming very little energy when showing a still image. Unlike traditional LCD or OLED screens that constantly need power to maintain what is on the panel, an E-Paper display is far more efficient when the content does not change often. That makes LG’s new 32-inch screen especially interesting for retail spaces, offices, public venues, and smart home setups where information needs to remain visible for long periods.

One of the standout features is its built-in 72 Wh battery. LG has confirmed the battery capacity, but it has not yet shared official battery life estimates. In real-world use, the runtime will likely vary widely depending on how often the screen refreshes, how frequently the displayed content changes, and whether Wi-Fi remains active. If the display is used mainly for static information, it could potentially last much longer between charges than a conventional screen.

Charging is another unusual part of the design. The LG E-Paper Display can be charged through USB-C, but it also supports charging through a magnetic power bank. This gives users more flexibility when placing the screen in areas where a permanent power cable may not be ideal. Magnetic charging support could make the display easier to move, mount, and maintain, especially in commercial environments where clean installation matters.

The screen runs on webOS Micro, a lightweight version of LG’s software platform. According to LG, users will be able to adjust settings through a web browser, meaning there is no need to install additional software just to configure the device. This browser-based management approach could be useful for businesses managing multiple displays or for users who want simple access from a computer, tablet, or phone.

The LG E-Paper Display 32RS1Q-B is expected to launch in July 2026. LG has not yet announced pricing, but more details should be revealed closer to the release date. With its large 32-inch panel, low-power e-paper technology, built-in battery, USB-C charging, magnetic power bank compatibility, and web-based controls, this display could become an appealing option for modern digital signage and always-on information screens.
