LG QNED84B Mini LED TV arrives in the US with a massive 100-inch option and AI-powered upgrades
LG has expanded its 2026 TV lineup in the United States with the new QNED84B Mini LED series, giving shoppers another big-screen option below the company’s premium QNED90 range. The lineup includes five 4K Mini LED models, starting with a 55-inch version priced at $729.99 and stretching all the way up to a huge 100-inch model priced at $3,999.99.
For anyone looking for a large 4K TV with Mini LED backlighting, AI picture processing, strong gaming features, and modern smart TV software, the QNED84B is positioned as a more approachable alternative to LG’s higher-end LCD models.
The biggest attraction is clearly the 100-inch model. Giant TVs are becoming more common, but they still carry a premium, and LG’s new QNED84B gives buyers a wall-sized Mini LED option without stepping into the brand’s most expensive tier. The series is now available in the US through LG and major retailers, including Best Buy.
All five QNED84B models use 4K Mini LED panels with Precision Dimming Pro. This is a step below the Precision Dimming Ultra system found in LG’s flagship QNED90 series. In real-world viewing, that means the QNED84B may have fewer local dimming zones and slightly less refined contrast control, especially in darker scenes where bright objects can sometimes create visible blooming. LG has not released exact dimming zone counts for the QNED84B models.
Color performance remains a major selling point. The series uses Dynamic QNED Color Pro and comes with Intertek-certified 100% Color Volume, aiming to deliver rich and consistent colors across different brightness levels. The TVs also support Dolby Vision, HDR10 Pro, HLG, and Filmmaker Mode with Ambient Light Technology, giving movie fans a solid range of HDR and cinema-focused features. LG has not officially confirmed peak brightness figures for the lineup.
Inside the QNED84B series is LG’s Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen 3, which handles image processing, upscaling, and sound optimization. AI Super Upscaling is designed to improve lower-resolution content so it looks cleaner on the 4K panel, while Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro adjusts HDR performance scene by scene for improved brightness and detail.
Audio is handled by a 2.2-channel speaker system with Dolby Atmos support. LG’s AI Sound Pro is also included, using processing to create a virtual surround sound effect from the built-in speakers. While a dedicated soundbar will still offer a stronger home theater experience, the built-in setup should be enough for everyday TV viewing, sports, and casual movie nights.
Gamers are also getting a capable feature set. The QNED84B supports VRR up to 144Hz, along with ALLM for lower input lag when a console or gaming PC is connected. There is also a 288Hz Motion Booster mode, though it runs at a reduced resolution. Compared with the higher-end QNED92B, which offers up to 165Hz VRR and a 330Hz Motion Booster mode, the QNED84B is slightly less advanced. However, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X players gaming at 4K 120Hz, the difference is unlikely to matter much. The higher refresh-rate gap will be more noticeable for PC gamers chasing very high frame rates at lower resolutions.
The QNED84B also ships with webOS 26, LG’s latest smart TV platform. The software includes Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot integration, along with a Sports Portal for live scores and alerts. LG’s Gaming Portal is also available for users who want quick access to cloud gaming services and game-related features.
One thing buyers should know is that LG has confirmed its 2026 TV lineup does not include HDMI 2.2 or Dolby Vision 2 support. For most current home entertainment setups, this may not be a major issue, but shoppers looking for the newest future-facing standards may want to keep it in mind.
