LG unveils a sleek 49-inch 5K 32:9 ultrawide with a subtle curve and USB‑C

LG is expanding its ultrawide lineup with the UltraWide 49U950A-W, a 49-inch 5K monitor built for serious multitaskers and creators. Designed to replace dual-monitor setups, it offers expansive screen real estate in a single, slightly curved panel that keeps your workflow front and center.

Connectivity is a strong suit. Laptops and desktops can connect via two HDMI ports, DisplayPort, or USB-C, with the USB-C port delivering up to 90 watts of power to charge compatible notebooks while driving the display. An integrated USB hub adds two USB-A ports for peripherals, letting you dock with a single cable and keep your desk clean.

Comfort and convenience features round out the package. The height-adjustable stand helps you find the right ergonomic position, while built-in stereo speakers rated at 2 x 10 watts provide fuller sound for meetings, videos, and casual listening. An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts brightness to match your environment, reducing eye strain throughout the day.
