Lexar Unveils 9600 MT/s DDR5 CUDIMM Memory, Mainstream & High-End Gen5 SSDs & DDR5 Solutions

Lexar Announces Cutting-Edge DDR5 Memory and Gen5 SSDs for PC Enthusiasts

Lexar, a prominent name in the field of storage and memory solutions, has recently unveiled its latest offerings for PC users, bringing forth a slew of next-generation DDR5 memory and Gen5 SSDs tailored for both mainstream users and the high-end market. This expansion in its range showcases the company’s commitment to catering to diverse needs within the PC hardware community.

The introduction of Lexar’s DDR5 memory array includes the ARES RGB DDR5 line, specifically designed for gamers seeking high-performance and aesthetics. The ARES RGB DDR5 modules boast impressive speeds of 6800 and 7200 MT/s, complete with SK Hynix modules and an alluring RGB design. For those inclined towards resilience and compact system builds, Lexar offers DDR5 kits with 6000 and 6400 MT/s speeds, which come designed in a more robust form with a 1.6mm thick heatsink. These high-speed memory kits are available in 32 GB (2x 16 GB) configurations.

Continuing with the gaming-centric theme, Lexar is set to release new ARES RGB DDR5 kits pushing the speed envelope to 7600 and 8000 MT/s. Enhancing the elitism, these kits are crafted with premium quality SK Hynix DRAM modules, RGB effects, and an exquisite aluminum heat spreader. Customers can choose between the striking color options of white and silver.

Yet the highlight of Lexar’s DDR5 showcase was their unparalleled 9600 MT/s DDR5 CUDIMM solution, which includes a CKD component. Initially presented without a heatsink to reveal the new PCB design, the definitive product will include a heatsink and target the latest Intel Desktop platforms based on Arrow Lake CPUs.

Shifting focus to solid-state drives, Lexar is set to revolutionize the SSD market with the NM980, a mainstream Gen5 M.2 SSD offering breathtaking read speeds up to 8 GB/s and write speeds of 7 GB/s. These SSDs are engineered for efficiency, with a low-power mode that reduces temperature and power draw. They sport a single-sided layout, with capacities ranging from 512 GB to 2 TB, and projected to hit the market in Q4 promising competitive pricing and superior performance compared to top-tier Gen4 models.

For the top-tier segment, Lexar’s Gen5 SSD lineup will include the NM990, capable of 14 GB/s read speed and 12 GB/s write speed, along with a cooling-efficient heatsink-free, compact design. The NM1090 model, offering similar performance but with the added advantage of DRAM to amplify performance, will be available in 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB options. The lineup is rounded out with the established NM1090 M.2 Gen5 SSD, which astounds with 12 GB/s read and 11 GB/s write capabilities, and is embellished with an active fan cooling system and RGB lighting for those who desire aesthetics along with top-notch performance.

Lexar’s announcement demonstrates a robust stride forward in the memory and storage segment, presenting powerful hardware options to PC users across the spectrum—from efficiency-focused builds to high-end gaming rigs—all while continuing to pioneer with speed and design innovation.
