Lenovo is refreshing its premium convertible lineup with the new Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition, and the update brings a noticeable shift in priorities: a slimmer, lighter design that comes with a slightly smaller battery.
The biggest change is the battery capacity, which drops from 75 Wh to 70 Wh. While that may sound like a downgrade on paper, it helps Lenovo shave down the overall footprint. The new Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition now weighs 1.29 kg, down from 1.32 kg, and it’s thinner too—15.29 mm instead of 15.9 mm. For travelers, commuters, and anyone who carries a laptop daily, those small reductions can make the device feel more portable in real-world use.
In terms of size, Lenovo has adjusted the chassis slightly. The updated model measures 317 x 223 mm, compared to the previous 316 x 220 mm, meaning it’s marginally wider and deeper even as it gets thinner overall.
For audio and performance-focused users, Lenovo is leaning into a well-rounded premium experience. The Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition includes a four-speaker setup, aiming to deliver louder, clearer sound without relying on headphones. On the storage and memory side, it can be configured with up to 2 TB of SSD storage and up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x-7467 RAM, which should be plenty for productivity workloads, creative tasks, and heavy multitasking.
Processor options are currently centered on Intel’s Core Ultra 7 355. At the moment, Lenovo is not advertising higher-tier Core Ultra alternatives for this model, suggesting the company is positioning this version for premium everyday performance rather than pushing for the absolute top-end configuration.
As for release details, the Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition is expected to launch later this month across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Pricing in the Eurozone starts at €1,799 (around $2,115), placing it firmly in the high-end 2-in-1 laptop category for buyers who want a flexible convertible design with a lighter build, modern Intel hardware, and premium features.
