Lenovo is preparing to introduce a new handheld gaming device in China later this month, and the latest teaser gives gamers a clearer idea of what to expect. The upcoming Lenovo Legion C700 is being positioned as a cloud gaming handheld, designed mainly for streaming games rather than running demanding titles directly on the device.
The biggest detail revealed so far is its battery. Lenovo has confirmed that the Legion C700 will feature a large 8,000mAh battery, with the company claiming up to 9 hours of use on a full charge. Since this device is focused on cloud gaming, that battery estimate is likely based on game streaming rather than native gameplay or heavy emulation.
The Legion C700 will not be a direct replacement for Lenovo’s Legion Go models. Instead, it appears to target players who want a lighter, more portable gaming experience built around streaming platforms and remote play. Even so, the hardware teased so far suggests it may still compete with higher-end Android gaming handhelds.
Lenovo has already confirmed that the device will include a 7.82-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make gameplay look smooth and responsive. The handheld will also feature TMR joysticks, a newer joystick technology known for improved durability and precision compared with traditional analog sticks.
Another interesting detail is the presence of active cooling.
