Lenovo Unveils Legion Power Bank With Massive Capacity and Blazing 170W Fast Charging

Lenovo Legion PB9 Power Bank Debuts With 24,000mAh Capacity and 170W Fast Charging

Lenovo has introduced a new high-capacity portable charger in China under its Legion gaming brand. Called the Lenovo Legion PB9, the power bank is designed for users who need serious backup power for smartphones, tablets, laptops, gaming handhelds, and other USB-powered devices.

The Legion PB9 comes with an advertised 24,000mAh battery capacity, giving it enough power to recharge most smartphones several times. It should also be capable of keeping portable gaming devices running longer, making it a practical accessory for travel, work, gaming sessions, and daily use.

One of the biggest highlights of the Lenovo Legion PB9 is its broad fast-charging support. The power bank is compatible with multiple charging standards, including PD 3.1, PD 3.0, PPS, SCP, QC, and FCP. This wide support improves compatibility with many modern devices, from Android phones and iPhones to laptops, handheld consoles, wireless accessories, and more.

For connectivity, the Legion PB9 includes three output ports: two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. The USB-A port can deliver up to 30W, while the USB-C ports can reach up to 140W, depending on the charging setup.

Lenovo advertises the power bank with 170W fast charging, but that figure refers to the total combined output when one USB-C port and the USB-A port are used together. When all three ports are active, the two USB-C ports can each provide up to 65W, while the USB-A port can deliver up to 18W, bringing the total output to 148W.

The power bank also supports fast recharging at up to 140W, which should help reduce downtime when the battery itself needs to be topped up. Lenovo has included multiple safety protections for both charging and discharging, aiming to keep connected devices and the power bank protected during use.

Another useful feature is the built-in display, which shows key charging information such as input and output power. This makes it easier for users to monitor charging performance in real time. The Legion PB9 also features a sleek design with built-in LED lighting, giving it a style that matches Lenovo’s gaming-focused Legion lineup.

In China, the Lenovo Legion PB9 is priced at CNY 549, which is roughly $82. Considering its 24,000mAh capacity, 140W USB-C output, 170W combined charging capability, display, and support for multiple fast-charging standards, it appears to be a competitive option in the high-power portable charger market.

Lenovo has not yet confirmed whether the Legion PB9 will launch globally. For now, it remains available in China, but its feature set could make it appealing to international users if the company decides to release it in more regions.
