Lenovo Legion R7 RT75 Magnetic Keyboard Debuts With 8,000mAh Battery and 8K Polling Rate
Lenovo has introduced the Legion R7 RT75, a premium 75% magnetic gaming keyboard aimed at competitive players who want speed, customization, and a high-end build. Launched in China, the new keyboard combines an all-aluminum body, advanced magnetic switch features, an 8,000Hz polling rate, and a large 8,000mAh battery.
The Legion R7 RT75 stands out with a compact 75% layout, giving gamers more desk space while still keeping essential keys within reach. Its chassis is made from lightweight aluminum alloy, giving it a sturdy and premium feel. Lenovo has also designed the keyboard with a 6-degree typing angle for better comfort during long gaming or typing sessions.
The design is one of the keyboard’s most noticeable features. The side panels include geometric cutouts that reveal RGB lighting zones, giving the keyboard a futuristic look. Buyers can choose between two color options: Cloud Silver, which includes a mix of translucent and metallic dye-sublimated keycaps, and Storm Gray, which comes with translucent keycaps. Both versions feature south-facing RGB backlighting for brighter and more consistent illumination.
Inside, the Lenovo Legion R7 RT75 uses a gasket-mounted structure designed to improve typing feel and reduce unwanted vibration. It also includes five layers of sound-dampening material and a carbon fiber positioning plate, which should help deliver a cleaner and more refined acoustic profile.
The keyboard comes equipped with transparent Aurora magnetic switches rated at 27–45 gf. These switches support advanced gaming features made possible by magnetic switch technology, including rapid trigger and adjustable actuation. Users can set the actuation point from 0.1 mm to 3.4 mm, allowing them to tune the keyboard for fast-paced gaming, everyday typing, or a balanced setup.
For competitive gamers, the Legion R7 RT75 includes rapid trigger support with 0.01 mm precision. This allows keys to reset almost instantly based on movement rather than a fixed reset point, making it especially useful in FPS and rhythm games. The keyboard also supports SOCD and DKS features, giving players more control over advanced key inputs and movement behavior.
Another major highlight is the 8,000Hz polling rate, which allows the keyboard to report input to the system up to 8,000 times per second when using compatible modes. This can help reduce input latency, making the keyboard more responsive for high-level gaming.
Lenovo has also added a 1.4-inch TFT display to the keyboard. While specific display functions may vary, built-in screens on gaming keyboards are often used for quick status information, settings, battery level, or visual customization.
Battery life should be another strong point. The Legion R7 RT75 packs a large 8,000mAh battery, which is bigger than what is typically found in many compact wireless mechanical keyboards. This should help support extended wireless use, especially for users who want RGB lighting and low-latency wireless performance without frequent charging.
Connectivity options include 2.4GHz wireless, USB-C wired mode, and Bluetooth. The 2.4GHz and wired modes are intended for gaming performance, while Bluetooth offers broader device compatibility. However, Bluetooth mode is limited to a 125Hz polling rate, making it better suited for casual use rather than competitive gaming.
The keyboard is also compatible with Lenovo Aurora RGB, giving users access to lighting customization across supported Lenovo gaming devices.
The Lenovo Legion R7 RT75 is currently available in China with a launch price of 1,299 yuan, which is roughly around US$192. Lenovo has not yet confirmed whether the keyboard will be released in global markets. The company also introduced a new lightweight 59g gaming mouse alongside the keyboard, further expanding its Legion gaming accessory lineup.
